Intro to Sports Camp

Learn skills and fundamentals as well as teamwork intro-sports and sportsmanship in a non-competitive environment. Camp is open for boys and girls currently in grades K thru 2.

Registration forms can be obtained here or at the Marina Recreation & Cultural Services Department. Space is limited register today! Additional fees for non-member, non-resident and late registration. For more information call the City of Marina Sports Desk at (831) 884-1254.

Summer Dodgeball League

League Runs June 19th thru July 20th, 2023 

The Summer Dodgeball League is open for all area boys & girls ages 6 thru 11. All games will be played at the Rocky Han Community Center, located at 211 Hillcrest Avenue, Marina. 

Smart Start clinics will be held the first week of play, ages 6 thru 8 on Tuesday, June 13th at 4:00 p.m. and ages 9 thru 11 on Thursday, June 15th at 4:00 p.m., followed by five weeks of League Play. Games will be played on Mondays & Wednesdays for children ages 6 thru 8 and Tuesdays & Thursdays for children ages 9 thru 11. Game times are 4:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. A Championship Tournament & Pizza Party will be held at the end of league play! Player entry form can be obtained here and at the Recreation Department. Forms must be turned in no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2023; any late entries will be put on a waiting list. League Fees: $10 Members, $35 Non-Members, $40 Non-Member/Non-Resident - The City of Marina accepts payments in the form of cash or checks. 2023 Junior Giants Baseball Program

Junior Giants is more than just baseball. Junior Giants is a free, non-competitive, co-ed baseball program for underserved boys and girls, ages 5-13.

Working together with local agencies, parents and volunteers, Junior Giants reaches into communities and offers youth a chance learn the basics of baseball during the summer, while also discovering the importance of self-esteem and respect. Participants are taught the Junior Giants Four Bases of Character Development: Confidence, Integrity, Leadership and Teamwork, as well as fundamental lessons in Education, Health and Violence Prevention.

Summer Skate Camp

The Skate Camp will provide instruction in basic skills, safety, balance, etiquette and techniques. Field trips to other local skate parks will be included each week during the duration of the camp.

The City of recreation and local advanced skateboarders will facilitate the skate camp. Please have your child provide his/her own safety equipment such as helmet and knee pads.

1:00-4:00 pm-Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday

Camp Fee $20.00-Members, $40 Non-members, $55 Non-Member/Non-Resident - 50% off all children in the same family after child 1.

DEADLINES TO REGISTER: Download, Complete and turn in the Registration form with registration fees by Friday, July 14, 2023 for Grades K thru 5th and . Friday, July 21, 2023 for Grades 6th thru 8th.

Daily Open Gym

The City of Marina Recreation & Cultural Services Department will host basketball open gym for high school and adult players daily 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Los Arboles Middle School gym, starting Monday June 12, 2023.

YOUTH CENTER SUMMER BREAK

Mon to Fri - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Space is limited, registration opens Thursday, May 11th (registration will close as soon as spaces are full). Sign-ups will only be taken in person Mon-Fri from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm. 

Full payment can be made in cash or check (payable City of Marina). Drop off will be at the Teen Center and pick up at the Youth Center. All participating kids must bring a sack lunch & water bottle.

Marina Youth Center After School Program

Membership registration for the new school year is now open for kindergarten to 5th graders

The cost of membership is $35 (resident) or $50 (non-resident) per child (payment can be made by cash or check).
Signups will only be taken in person from Monday through Friday from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm. Forms are available at the Youth Center or online here.
Covid requirements are in place.

What We Offer

The Marina Recreation & Cultural Services Department oversees the Youth, Teen and Senior Centers. In addition the Department holds a variety of community special events and sport leagues.

Recreation staff and volunteers host numerous community events each year and provides safe places for children to go after school. We take great pride in enriching the lives of others through quality parks and programs, designed and developed so that people of all ages, abilities and income levels have the chance to participate in excellent recreational opportunities.
