The City Council will hold the project’s fourth joint public workshop with the Planning Commission on the Local Coastal Plan (LCP) Update at a special meeting on January 28, 2020 at 6:00 pm in the City Council Chamber at 211 Hillcrest Avenue in Marina. All interested persons were invited to attend and participate in this workshop. Notices of the workshop were mailed to all property owners within the City’s Coastal zone as well as any interested parties.
The purpose of this fourth and final public workshop is to update the City Council, Planning Commission and the public on the status of the City’s efforts to add a coastal hazards section to the Local Coastal Program (LCP). This workshop will focus on the draft Local Coastal Land Use and Implementation Plan amendments to address sea level rise and coastal erosion. The goal of this workshop is to introduce the revised draft policies and implementation strategies. Staff will take Council, Commission and public comment and refine the amendments for the adoption hearings.
