Marina Kids Move - Kids daily exercise program for kids ages 6 through 12

Back to School is looking very different from other years this Fall. With home schooling becoming the norm for a part of the school year, we all have to get incredibly creative to keep the kids challenged, interested, healthy and give them a run for their money in terms of spending their energy.

At Monterey Bay Moves, exercise and fun, as well as intentional movement is at the core of our mission. We live and work in Marina and love our diverse community. When parents reached out to us to help them keep their kids healthy during the shelter in place and with school starting, we thought we needed to offer a program that would be accessible to ALL Marina kids, for FREE.

The program will be held Monday through Friday from 3 pm to 3:30pm. It will include kids yoga, a mini bootcamp and PE games. The live event will be facilitated by licensed instructors. Registration is required. Please register here.

Sponsorships are available for businesses, individuals or multiple-family groups.

Because not all families can afford to get private tutors, help or sitters to get their kids off the couch and spend their energy in creative ways, we thought a kids program that doesn't discriminate and lets all our Marina kids participate would be ideal!

Marina Kids Move Fal 2020

To make this happen, we need at least 10 local families or businesses to sponsor 10 weeks of this first pilot program. Each sponsor will be given the opportunity to share why supporting kids health and physical activity is important to them and tell a little something about themselves as a family or their business in a weekly newsletter.

The weekly sponsorship of $440 covers 1 week of daily exercise and fun for all Marina kids. The program includes occupational therapists, yoga instructors and educators.

To become a sponsor, please contact info@montereybaymoves.com
