[ARCHIVED] NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING - City of Marina Groundwater Sustainability Agency

A public hearing will be held on the intention to adopt the Groundwater Sustainability Plan

Notice is hereby given that the City of Marina Groundwater Sustainability Agency will hold a public hearing, pursuant to California Water Code Section 10728.4, regarding the adoption of a Resolution of Intention to Adopt a Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) as set forth in the California Water Code, Part 2.74, Sustainable Groundwater Management Act, Section 10720 et seq. 

The subject of the GSP is a portion of the 180/400 Foot Aquifer Subbasin (DWR Subbasin Number 3-004.01) of the Salinas Valley Groundwater Basin in the Central Coast Hydrologic Region of California that lies within the City’s jurisdictional limits, but outside the jurisdictional limits of the Marina Coast Water District. 

The proposed GSP boundaries would encompass Monterey County Assessor Parcel Numbers (APN) 203-011-001; 203-011-019; 203-011-020; and portions of APN 203-011-023; 175-011-046; 175-011-031; and 203-011-011.  The public hearing is intended to review, provide explanation of, and allow for public input on the GSP within the proposed boundaries.  No sooner than 90 days from the date of the hearing another public hearing will be held to consider adopting the GSP.  Information regarding the draft GSP is available on the City’s website at:

The public hearing on the intention to adopt the GSP shall be held at the following date, time, and place:  

Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at 6:30 pm

If you need special assistance to participate in this public hearing, please contact the City of Marina Groundwater Sustainability Agency at (831) 884-1278.  Notification 48 hours prior to the hearing will enable the City of Marina Groundwater Sustainability Agency to make reasonable arrangements to ensure accessibility to this public hearing.
