[ARCHIVED] Marina City Council abates business license fee penalties until Nov. 1, 2020

City offers Business Tax Amnesty for unregistered businesses that register by Nov. 1, 2020

To support local businesses, the City Council has authorized an abatement of the Marina Business License Penalties until November 1, 2020.  In other words, the normal delinquency penalties which begin to accrue if a license is not paid by July 31 will be abated or waived until Nov. 1, 2020.  Licenses, however, will only be issued upon payment of this year’s tax.

The City Council also authorized a business license amnesty program for unregistered businesses until November 1, 2020.  Normally, unregistered businesses that fail to pay their license timely, are assessed up to three years back licenses plus a 50% penalty for each of those years.  For those businesses that have operated in Marina but failed to register, back penalties and interest will be waived if a business registers prior to November 1, 2020.

Business Licenses may be obtained by phone and online. Please visit Marina.hdlgov.com or call (831) 233-6558.
