On August 18, 2020, the City Council approved a process to fill the at-large vacancy of City Council Member Adam Urrutia, effective August 18, 2020, and to serve the remainder of the term to November 2022
The City of Marina will be accepting applications to fill the remaining term of his at-large position, which will be through November 2022. Applications are now being accepted in the City Clerk’s office at 211 Hillcrest Avenue, Marina, CA 93933 from Monday, August 24, 2020 thru Monday, September 7, 2020 and must be filed and received in the Clerk’s office no later than 4:00 p.m. September 7, 2020.
Interested individuals need to be residents of Marina and registered voters of the City of Marina.

All applicants will be invited to attend a Special City Council meeting (conducted via “zoom”) on Saturday, September 19, 2020. Applicants will be provided an opportunity to make a brief presentation to the City Council. Following the presentations and public comment, the City Council will vote, and the new at-large City Council Member will be appointed and sworn into office for the remainder of Council Member Urrutia’s term which expires in November 2022.
