The City of Marina is kicking-off a comprehensive update to our 2000 General Plan. What is the General Plan and why is it important to update it? The General Plan is the City's guiding document for determining where future development will be located, what types of development are important to the citizens, and ensuring that the City's goals and policies for the future are in compliance with the many rules and regulations handed down to local governments by the State legislature.
The update will consider the following issues and concerns: water availability, land use, environmental constraints and resources, public safety, traffic and circulation, economic growth, environmental justice, and more!
